1. Advanced Technology on Converters:

The first session of seminar on Advanced Technology on Converters by Prof. Ramanarayanan from Dept of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Spoke about the Advance technologies in Converters. He also explained the latest researches by him. Technology advantages to compete in the world market. The latest Active Power factor controlled converter technology was discussed detail. The advantage of having this technology to optimum utilize of the available power . Which reduces the generation cost , transmission cost and distribution cost. And also this technology is eco friendly which does not affect the neighbor users. By using this technology the Electricity board has incentive for the improved Power factor load. Industry can take benefit of this. In his Seminar also mentioned to get in to continues up gradation of the technology , and industry should get in to the mass production and export to meet the technology cost to bare.

2.Advanced Technology on UPS:

The second session of seminar on Advanced Technology on UPS was by Mr.James Tan from G-TEC, Singapore.

Mr James has the lot of field experience in the power solution, he was part of the big projects like Singapore metro transit, Singapore telecom projects and many more.

He spoke about the different combination of the power solution can be offered to the different application to keep power availability very high. Different combinations like parallel, redundant, parallel with redundant etc., Different cost effective solutions to meet the customer needs.

3.Solar Energy:

The third session of seminar on Solar Energy by Mr.Revankar from Shell Solar India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.

He spoke about the industry scenario of solar, and its technologies, the Grow the scope in this industry. The opportunities for the UPS and Inverter manufactures and dealers to expand the business.

The forth session of seminar on Batteries by Mr.Srinivas, Battery consultant. Mr Sreenivas has more than 30 years of experience in thebattery manufacturing and process. He has shared the technology grow happened in the batteries. And what we can expect in the future. What are the current best technologies in the batteries. He also explained to get better life of the battery how the Converter/Chargershould be designed, and and how to maintained the batteries.

About 100 partcipants attended the seminars.
